Attestation is the act of verifying the genuineness or authenticity of a document by the competent authorities. Authentication for different types of documents is required by different authorities for travelling abroad for higher education, employment and visas etc. Authentication is done by State authorities and finally attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. The Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India has since outsourced the attestation/apostille services, SEPL is the agency providing Support Service since 2012 onwards to the applicants on behalf of the Ministry of External Affairs.
